My name is Anoushka Bose and I live in sunny San Diego, California. I am a sophomore at my high school and enjoy physics, computer science, environmental science, dance, and photography. In order to better develop these passions, I participate in a variety of STEM-related clubs (namely Science Olympiad and FIRST Robotics) at school, take dance classes, and go on "photography adventures" with my dad. I also help run an elementary after-school program called Girl's Science, to encourage girls to pursue STEM from a young age. They teach me as much as I teach them.
Since I am only in my second year of high school, I still have a lot of time to decide what I want to do, where I want to go, etc. Something that we learned on our week in Hollywood is that every door is open right now. Even if you think you can't do something or you're not entirely sure if it is what you want to do as a career, you should try it anyway. We have so many opportunities presented to us, but it's not worth anything if you don't do something with them.
